CENTER PIN TRIPS NOW AVAILABLE

I am proud to annouce that I have partnered with John Miao, the maker of Xcalibur Rods.  I will now be offering Late Summer and Early Fall Centerpinning trips for King Salmon!  I will also be targeting Fall/Winter Steelhead with Centerpin equipment featuring custom made Xcalubur rods and Ross reels.

If you have never tried this technique, then you are missing out.  Outrageously long drag free difts and perfect presentations are made easier with this style of float fishing.  This is quite simply the best style of float fishing you can experience.  If you are comfortable with fly gear this is for you.

I have used several different types of rods in the past, but after hooking up with Xcalibur, I am really excited about these new rods for the 2010/2011 season.  I worked directly with John from Xcalibur to design a rod that is made specifically for the Pere Marquette River and our specific needs.  He hit the ball out of the park with his rods.  The taper of the rods load easily and really cast well.  The feel of the rod in your hand is minimal as the balance and over weight is ideal.

Book your trip today to experience center pin fishing at it's best!

SHARK ON THE FLY
We headed down to sunny South Florida early this Summer to do some filming for Hardcore Pursuit.  What a blast we had.  Our plan was to dominate the tarpon that head to Boca Grande Pass.  Oh well like any good plan we deviated...The adult tarpon were hard on the fly, we hit some on crabs.  We didi manage to find a little piece of Heaven in the Myaka River and managed hook ups with tarpon on the fly every morning, in fact Gabe even landed one.  It was really tough due to fact that they had recieved 24" of rain proir to us coming.
We ended up hooking up with local guide and downright good guy...Capt Red Flowers.  What a character, he set the line class record for sharks the week prior and before you now it we were heading out for a World Record hammerhead.  It was a blast and we hooked a couple monsters but never managed to land one though.

Look for more fishing with uber...
